Are Hospitals A Good Place To Die? NHS mismanagement raises embarrassing questions

Recent scandals caused by mismanagement in National heath Service hospitals have raised a lot of questions about the way the service is run and whether patient care is really the top priority for many hospital managers.

We know the health service is in trouble when people start asking questions like, “Are hospitals a good place to die?” but when we think of the notorious Liverpool Care Pathway and other NHS hospital horror stories involving patients dying of malnutrition, dehydration and medical incompetence the questions must be asked, “Are the medical professions about people or statistics,” are doctors just pushing drugs for big pharma and are NHS managers more concerned with personal goals and empire building than delivering a service.
